Yeng Ching, Korean-Chinese in Fremont
Yen Ching’s located off of Washington exit of 680 in Fremont. The setting is pretty nice and clean with a modern feel. The menu is Korean-Chinese. We tried the Gan Zha Jiang, the sea cucumber, Chow Mian. The Gan Zha Jiang is good flavorwise, though the pieces of diced veggies were larger than normal. The noodle was standard – good and chewy. The sea cucumber dish stir-fried with scallions and garlic is a little bit oily and was just ok. The Chow Mian was the worst dish of the 3. It was very bland tasting and the ingredients were second rate. I would not order this again.
But the quality of the Gan Zha Jiang indicates that other dishes should be worth exploring on another visit, including La Jian Ro, Gan Pong Chicken, and Sweet & Sour dishes.
