Kirin Chinese and Shen Hua
After browsing the menu for Kirin and Shen Hua, it is certain that there’s a Shandong chef working there. So it is at least half Korean-Chinese. If I ever make it up there, I can confirm for sure.
But from the menu, many of the classic Shandong dishes are evident: All the different Mu Shu dishes, the dumplings, and the Spicy Dry fried dishes (Gan Pong series), as well as the signature Zha Jiang Mian and Chao Ma Mian.
However, there are definitely plenty of Cantonese influences as well. So it is either Cantonese owned and has a Shandong chef or vice-versa.
