I love this style of Zha Jiang Mian. Been looking for an alternate since that place on Old San Francisco Road in Sunnyvale closed. For all the sauce, I could have used more noodles. I ended up dumping the sauce on the 抄手拉面. Now, that was a good combo. Not sure what else to order there though as a lot of the dishes looked Chinese-Americanish. Tell me this. Why is it that all these Shandong places don't serve 馒头? Isn't that supposed to be a specialty as well?

Yes, I really like this place, especially the hand-pulled noodles. If you listen carefully you can hear them pull your noodles in the kitchen by the thudding sound of noodle doughs against the counter as the noodles develop their airiness and their q-ness at the same time.
