It reminds me of this Chinese restaurant we visited in the heart of San Fran China Town. It was this non descript little place but we just joined the queue which was around 10 meters outside of the place and figured it must be nice. It was!!

Just found your website through Google, it is really great. I like your comments and pictures on every single restaurant. I know it takes a lot of extra effort to do so.
Keep on the good work!

Great posts! Have to ask since I’ve been searching forever for a good cold peanut/garlic noodle. There are these really great “liang mein” down in LA but have not found another noodle shop that can replicate. Not too peanutty and not a zha-jian mein either… Any help would be much appreciated! Keep up the great info on the eats!

Hi Laura,

I don’t do liang mian often but when I do, I usually get the one from this Sichuan place in the Ranch 99 center in Newark off of 84. They moved from the old location on Fremont Blvd. The sauce is garlicky and soy-saucy – but not too much peanut. Try it and let me know if you like it.
